I have a lot of problems with these Banggu Muslims.
Recently, in Palashbari, Gaibandha, the construction of an 81 foot Ram statue, claimed to be the largest in Asia, was protested by a group of people , and the construction work was suspended.
This is where my problem begins.
Now, if Hindus protest against this decision and organize human chains, I will support them. You may ask, "How can you support Hindus while being a Muslim?" I will support them because I feel intense frustration.
You say that 92% of the country is Muslim, so how can a Ram statue be built here? Then let me ask you a question. If 92% of the country is Muslim, why has Sharia not been established? Why is the country still being run through a democratic system? Why are you not raising your voice for Sharia? Why have you continued to vote and bring democracy through democratic processes? Do you even know what democracy is?
My frustration is with those who call themselves Muslims and oppose the construction of what they consider shirk related structures, yet they are the first to vote for democratic parties that use Islam as a political tool. They believe that democratic parties will establish Islam and Sharia in the country.
So tell me, why should I not be frustrated?
You brought democracy into the country, and democracy means equal rights for everyone. If you have the right to build mosques, then Hindus also have the same right to build temples and statues. You have no right to obstruct their legal activities.
You are forgetting that this is not a Sharia governed country like Saudi Arabia. If it were, there would be no place for shirk related structures. But when you chose democracy over Islamic governance, then you must also accept the consequences of that choice.
You want democracy, but you do not want to give equal rights to minorities. That does not work.
That is why I would tell Hindus to build even more temples and statues. Turn the country into another India so that these so called Banggu Muslims can finally understand that Sharia is the only way.
May Allah (ﷻ) grant everyone the ability to understand. Ameen.
